I got my 1st (and last) ticket today. I was doing 42 in a school zone. I have no idea how I will pay the fine. At least I have a few months to generate the cash, I was very upset. Cried in the bathroom at work.
And then I received a phone call from my sister. Margaret and brother-in-law were in a head on collision. They are okay. The car had airbag, (it's totaled brother-in-law says.) It was the sand. It's blowing so hard that it's creating white out conditions. Yesterday a major multiple accident happen on the 14 for the same reason. People died. Margaret and brother-in-law were at 70Th and G. The sand blew, Margaret couldn't see, brother-in-law spotted a white line he thought was the line marking the edge of their lane. Unfortunately it was the white line marking the side of the other lane. A truck had just turned onto 70Th. That meant he wasn't going very fast. Margaret was going 10 miles an hour. His truck mounted her car! Mounted!.
I'm so glad they are okay. Only bruised. It could have been so much worse.Thank you God.
