Called sis-in-law in Florida. She is a tax preparer. She said not to worry. A. even if the fed hit me for late filing the fine will only be like ten cents. B. the state tax might be more nasty, and if they complain, she will write a letter for me.
She also told me that it was OK that I oops and paid the feds 28.00 instead of 28.08. Yes, can't read own hand writing.
If only I hadn't added a one dollar contribution to the state. I'm not sure how that will work out.
