Well, let's see, car over heated and it turned out I needed a new radiator,$440.00. However the nice people at the car shop let me make three payments on it, and that's all taken care of now. Car seems to be doing fine now.
So in the last year I have been going to this car shop, I have noticed that all the old employees have disappeared and there are always new very young boys there doing the work. Like he was apprenticing them from high school. He was telling them what to do. Then I realized that his son was also gone, and you know business has to be really bad when you lay off your own child.This did worry me a bit.
Then I realized he was living in his RV outside the shop. This also worried me. Boy, was I worried now!
Well this time I think I found out why. His son was there and was dressed for work. He didn't look the same however. Most of the right side of his face has burn scars, with a big honking shinny pink square of a skin graft on top of the cheek bone. I think the old man helped his son out with the medical bills. I think he sold his house or lost it paying for his son.
I am of course going to keep on going there.
Now however I am a little screwed now. My left eye has been bothering me. Wednesday it started bothering me more with gooking up. Slowly gooking up. Yesterday I woke up and looked at myself in the mirror and golly, I had a web of green gook at each corner plus a crust of dry gunk under my eye. I should have taken a picture.
I went to the doctor (county). I have pink eye. . .even although my eye is not pink or scratchy. Just gooky.The doctor thinks I have an airborne variety. I have to take three days off because I am contagious. That's four days with out pay. Screwed.
I will get through this, I just won't like it while I do.
On the plus side maybe I will lose weight living on oatmeal!!!!
