I got my ear done. My sister took me as she didn't think my car would make it down to Harbor UCLA, and I think she is right. They took off my skin cancer and then did a skin graft and recreated the rim of my ear, (you are getting the abbreviated version since Blogger ate the really long draft). Ear looks pretty good now.
I am a trash hoarder. I decided to change my ways. I started picking stuff up off of the floor of my bedroom, which has not been cleaned in five years. I filled up the trash guy. Floor still not cleared. Four hours later start coughing, spitting and gasping for breath. All night long. It finally starts slowing down around 6 A.M. I have been coughing non stop for 11 hours. I sleep for an hour and a half and go to the urgent care.
My oxygen blood level is 91. I get a breathing treatment, steroids, antihistamines, antibiotics and an inhaler. I order a toxic dust mask off Amazon. The day it comes I work on bedroom again. I fill up the trash guy AGAIN! Floor still not cleared. I take dust mask off. I forget there will be dust in air. I don't cough but start having trouble breathing. At work it's so bad, that at the close my supervisor sends me home and does my work. Very nice man.
Next day, doctor's appointment. Oxygen level 91 again. Doctor give me an EKG. Abnormal. Next stop, ER by ambulance and paramedic's.Blood work, Chest X-Rays and four more EKG's. Everything is fine. Doctor says my breathing problems are on the "Spectrum of asthma, but not chronic." Four steroids pills at once and I am released.
I'm to get a stress test and perhaps a cardiogram. What will this cost me? I'm hoping Healthy Way La will pick up everything since I was send there by the doctor. Waiting for the bill.

We went to the Getty!
My whining to the sister paid off. She too me to the Getty to see the Vermeer "A Woman Reading A Letter. We also took the niece and her boyfriend Ed. This was us meeting him for the first time. And vice versus. He seems to be a very nice young man and more her equal then the last one. Ed is in the Air Force and is a Refueling Co-Pilot .
The Vermeer was very small! I thought it would be large, but instead it's around 30 inches! It's very blue and lovely. I didn't get to go up close and inspect it, (bitter regret), because then I would have been blocking the view of the large crowd also looking at it.It will probably be the only time in my life to ever see a Vermeer, one of my most favorite painters. The gift shop was completely sold out of anything affordable in the way of a poster, print or postcard of it. Not even a magnet was to be had. Damn!
My sister and I decided to have a coffee before heading down to the garden. We both had cafe mocha's from the Kiosk. I had the first one, She had the second. I so glad of that order because I have been sick ever since then. She just got a little sick that night, and then recovered. Me, my guts are rotting and giving off rotting eggs gas. I'm even burping it.
The garden was lovely as usual, and I took many pictures. But since my UB plugs are messed up on this computer I'll have to use my phone to put just one in. Just one, that's apparently all the blogger app will allow..
When we left the Getty we have to go the opposite way, as there is construction on the freeway. My sister pointed out that a man had left his car and was using the porty-potty next to the road. Apparently someone else slipped into the driver's seat because traffic did move a bit down the street. I laughed hysterically as he jogged past us to his car with a jaunty grin. When you've got to go, you've got to go...

I went off Cable TV
About a month or so ago. I wasn't paying for it, the best friend was paying for it and that's just wrong of me to have done so. I own her like a $1000 for it...! So I went to HuluPlus and Net-flicks. It's working out quite well. The only problem I really have is that I am watching it on my 17 inch monitor. I'd like to watch it on my TV. Now I know that there is someway of doing that, via a router and an internet ready DVD player, but I haven't really researched it yet.But eventually I will.
I am entertaining the idea of getting rid of Net-Flicks and getting Amazon Prime. Every thing I type in to watch on Net-Flicks is either on the DVD service or unavailable completely.Amazon Prime seems to have a awful lot stuff I'd like to watch. And it only comes to $7.42 if you divide the $89.00 into 12 months.
Cable was like $100.00 a month.I checked into getting the basic package. Eweee, channels 1 thru 37 for only $70.00 a month. Ridiculous! If I get all three services I'm still only going to paying like $21.00 a month. I really don't understand why more people aren't doing this.

Car Trouble and The Flu
It has been an eventful two weeks. Actually longer then that. I needed new brakes, new rotors, and the alternator went out at the same time! Over $800.00...and then I get the flu and miss a whole week of work. Mind you the first four days were because of the flu. Knocked me down hard. Don't even remember most of it because of the fever I was running.
But after the fever broke I went to work, even although I felt horrible and I sounded quite inhuman. And then the car just stopped running on the fourth delivery! The manager's husband came and gave me a tow home. Very patience he was, no comment about at first I had the car in the wrong gear and the parking brake on...
And I was done for. After the stress and standing in the very cold wind, I just went back to bed for two days. Then I stirred myself. Jackie insisted that I go to a co-workers relative who was a mechanic working out of his home. I was scared, because of what happened before when I did that, used clutch put back in, fried car, and then the place that fixed that left a metal bracket dangling and that took out my fan. I was not happy.
But it turned out wonderful this time. the reason my car just stopped (safe mode), was because the timing belt had broke. I was so lucky! The valves and pistons weren't bent! Frank the mechanic replaced the timing belt, the water pump and the spark plug wires for $271. The car runs beautifully.
Now I am trying to figure out whether I can go to him for oil changes and when the last time the trannie fluid was changed. And that serpentine belt.
*****
With this year's tax refund money I have gotten new glasses. I needed them. My current glasses are spattered with tears because I am straining to see in focus. I knew it would cost a bit of money because I want progressives and I need a higher index because of how near sighted I am.
I went to Wallyworld rather then Lenscrafters, because I am still paying them off for the glasses I am wearing. Not going to work financially. I ended up paying $409 plus the eye exam, but I'm pretty sure it would have been over $600 at Lenscrafters.I also shelled out for Transition lenses.
At first I wanted Daisy Fuentes Jasmine glasses, black fronts with tiny red violet rhinestones in the corners and purplish stems. But I was determined to make sure I looked good and not be overwhelmed by what I lusted after. So the second time I went and looked at the eyeglasses choices I looked at some Sally Hansen frames. I decided that they fit me better, were more proportional to my face, and that I looked better in them. So I picked the Sally Hansen 16 frames in Simply Amersyt . They don't really look purplish to me, but they do look good.
It will take a week for them to be done and mailed back to Walmart. I can hardly wait.
